Florida Youth Orchestra: Happy Concerts

A concert for the whole family that features the talented Florida Youth Orchestra – ages 5 -18 – whose whimsical performances will enchant children of all ages. The Florida Youth Orchestra encourages audience participation and will even include an instrument “Play Pen” where audience members will actually get a chance to hold and play instruments. Happy Concerts will invite you into the world of classical music with a performance you will never forget and a chance to sit alongside the musicians in action!

The acclaimed Florida Youth Orchestra (FYO) was established in 1988 and is currently celebrating its 25th year of its prestigious history as the premier provider of musical education for talented young musicians. Over 20,000 children have been part of its history and FYO currently includes 400 members in seven orchestra divisions taught by a faculty of 23 professional musicians. In addition to FYO’s regular appearances on local and national television and radio broadcasts and five professionally recorded CDs, FYO has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center.

All performances take place at Hollywood Performing Arts Center, US-1 and Monroe Street (1770 Monroe Street).
